What Will the Monitoring & Evaluations Assistant Do?

The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of E4Impact Africa Foundation’s M&E system.

Learning, Knowledge Management and Adaptive Management

The Monitoring & Evaluations Assistant will help operationalize and refine the Logframe and existing Theory of Change for the Challenge Fund. This includes establishing measurable, gender-sensitive indicators that can be disaggregated by age and sex.

The role will also involve collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing evidence against the Logframe and using findings to demonstrate progress along Theory of Change pathways.

The successful candidate will facilitate reflection and learning sessions involving grantees, partners, and E4Impact staff. These sessions will help validate findings, identify lessons, and support adaptive management.

Other responsibilities include documenting lessons learned, success stories, and case studies, as well as facilitating knowledge-sharing forums across partners and stakeholders.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.

The position requires 5–8 years of experience in M&E for donor-funded programmes. Candidates should demonstrate practical experience designing and implementing M&E systems and working with gender-sensitive indicators and reporting.

Relevant professional experience includes:

  • Monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded programmes.
  • Gender-responsive programming.
