Applications are open for the WACCBIP-DELTAS II Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2027. The WACCBIP DELTAS II Graduate Internship programme is an opportunity for new graduates to work in an environment that supports and promotes the development of research leadership.
Interns are selected through a highly competitive application process and are required to contribute in tangible terms to scientific research during their internship period. The programme features curated mentorship sessions among other activities culminating in a flagship Senior High School outreach event to inspire STEM students in a selected region in Ghana.
Benefits
- The successful Graduate Intern will be supported with a monthly stipend as top-up to their National Service allowance.
Eligibility
To apply for this programme, you must:
- Have completed undergraduate studies by August/September 2026 and registered for National Service for the 2026/27.
- Have majored in any of the Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, English Communication, and Linguistics.
- Be hardworking, highly motivated and interested in promoting scientific research.
The successful Graduate Intern will be expected to:
- Assist in research activities at West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP)
- Contribute to the delivery of training programmes at WACCBIP
- Participate in research conferences and workshops
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or immediate supervisor
