Partners for Public Good is a nonpartisan organization that works alongside state and local governments to strengthen the operational systems that determine whether public policies translate into meaningful results for residents. Its work covers areas such as procurement, staffing, budgeting, technology, and infrastructure delivery.
Rather than providing recommendations and leaving implementation to government teams, PPG works directly with public-sector practitioners throughout the implementation process. Role and Responsibilities
The Associate, Infrastructure will join PPG’s Infrastructure Team and report to a Project Leader. The team supports hundreds of local governments across the United States in delivering public infrastructure projects efficiently, effectively, and responsively.
The Associate will manage day-to-day project delivery and may work on one major engagement or contribute to several shorter-term projects. Key responsibilities will include supporting project scoping, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, interviewing stakeholders, administering surveys, mapping processes, and reviewing policies.
The successful candidate will also help develop project deliverables such as procurement solicitations, work plans, policy and procedure documents, research reports, training materials, case studies, public communications, and project impact reports.
Additional responsibilities will include facilitating meetings and workshops, providing coaching and advisory support, identifying the root causes of operational challenges, supporting change management, and conducting internal and external project reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement and Organizational Growth
The Associate will build productive relationships with government leaders, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to public-facing tools, templates, publications, and other resources that promote operational excellence within the public sector.
The successful candidate may also contribute to organizational improvement initiatives, support the development of new offerings, assist with funder reporting and fundraising, and help identify evidence demonstrating PPG’s impact. Participation in conferences and professional events may also be required to present project insights and develop partnerships.
Key Candidate Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will be capable of breaking down complex problems and developing practical, creative, and high-impact solutions.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, although equivalent professional experience and/or relevant certifications may be considered in place of formal education. At least three years of experience delivering public infrastructure projects or closely related work is required. Relevant backgrounds may include public-sector procurement, public works, infrastructure, government finance and operations, or consulting.

• Comfort learning and using other technology platforms
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 7–10 times per year
Salary and Benefits
Partners for Public Good offers a salary of $102,800 for the Associate, Infrastructure position, together with a comprehensive benefits package.
