AMI Scientist/Interns – Geometry and 3D Vision 2026 | Join a Frontier AI Research Team

AMI is recruiting Scientists and Interns in Geometry and 3D Vision to join its world-class AI research team working on next-generation artificial intelligence systems. The opportunity is available in Paris, Montreal, New York, and Singapore, offering talented researchers and engineers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge developments in world models, machine learning, computer vision, and AI reasoning.

The position is ideal for candidates with strong backgrounds in machine learning, computer vision, geometry, robotics, or related disciplines who are interested in building AI systems capable of understanding, predicting, and interacting with the real world.

About AMI

AMI is developing a new generation of AI systems designed to understand the physical world, maintain persistent memory, reason and plan effectively, and operate in a safe and controllable manner.

The organization combines scientific research excellence with strong engineering execution to advance frontier AI technologies. Its research focuses on world models—internal representations that enable AI agents to understand environments, predict future states, and make intelligent decisions.

With offices in Paris, Montreal, New York, and Singapore, AMI brings together scientists and engineers working on some of the most challenging problems in artificial intelligence.

About the Role

The Geometry and 3D Vision Scientist/Intern position focuses on advancing AI world models through research in 3D understanding and spatial reasoning.

AMI believes that video provides one of the richest sources of information for understanding how the world functions. By learning from continuous streams of visual and sensory data, AI systems can develop a deeper understanding of context, predict environmental changes, and plan actions more effectively.

Successful candidates will work closely with researchers and engineers to develop new methods for enabling AI systems to interpret and reason about the three-dimensional world.

Key Research Areas

Team members will contribute to research initiatives focused on:

  • Self-supervised learning from video and high-dimensional sensory signals
  • World model architectures for understanding and predicting environmental dynamics
  • Large-scale video processing and data curation techniques
  • Benchmarking and evaluation frameworks for world model performance
  • Model-based planning and reasoning algorithms
  • Advanced 3D scene understanding and representation learning
  • Predictive AI systems capable of planning complex actions in dynamic environments

The role provides an opportunity to contribute directly to state-of-the-art research that may influence future AI systems across robotics, autonomous agents, simulation, and multimodal intelligence.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should possess a strong technical foundation and the ability to conduct independent research and experimentation.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Ability to design, execute, and analyze experiments independently
  • Understanding of machine learning fundamentals
  • Knowledge of large-scale model training
  • Familiarity with GPU or TPU-based computing environments

Candidates should be comfortable working in research-driven environments where experimentation, iteration, and innovation are central to daily work.

Preferred Qualifications

AMI is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in geometry, computer vision, and world modeling technologies.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Expertise in 3D or 4D reconstruction
  • Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)
  • Structure-from-Motion (SfM) knowledge
  • Depth estimation and pose estimation experience
  • Point tracking systems expertise
  • Experience using rendering or simulation platforms such as Blender or Isaac Sim
  • Knowledge of scripted scene generation and large-scale rendering pipelines
  • Research publications or contributions to major AI model releases
  • Experience developing evaluation frameworks for AI systems
  • Contributions to open-source software projects
  • Proficiency with PyTorch or JAX

Candidates with demonstrated research impact through publications, open-source contributions, or advanced technical projects will be particularly competitive.

Why Join AMI?
