About the Role

The Digital Transformation Lead will serve within WFP’s Technology Division (Digital Services), supporting the implementation of digital solutions that strengthen beneficiary registration, beneficiary identity management, enterprise deduplication, and digital assistance delivery.

Working closely with Regional Business Transformation Officers, Country Offices, government partners, and technical teams, the consultant will ensure that new digital systems reflect operational needs, improve user experience, and support effective humanitarian assistance at scale.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will lead both service design and digital transformation adoption across WFP’s beneficiary management ecosystem.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate business process analysis and service design for beneficiary registration and assistance-delivery systems.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultations, workshops, and user research with Country Offices, governments, and humanitarian partners.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps, service blueprints, and prioritised requirements.
  • Translate operational insights into product backlogs, user stories, and actionable technical documentation.
  • Coordinate field feedback between Regional Business Transformation Officers and technology teams.
  • Support rollout planning, readiness assessments, training materials, and change management activities.
  • Identify operational risks, adoption challenges, data quality issues, and implementation dependencies.
  • Promote compliance with data governance, privacy, information security, and responsible beneficiary data practices.
  • Strengthen continuous feedback mechanisms that improve digital products across WFP operations.

Eligibility Requirements

WFP is seeking professionals with substantial experience in digital transformation, business analysis, and humanitarian technology.

Education

Applicants should possess an advanced university degree in one of the following areas:
