SCAC Extends NGO Climate Collaboration Call for Youth-Focused Programmes to 15 September 2026

The Selangor Climate Adaptation Centre (SCAC) has extended the deadline for its Call for Collaboration with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) interested in co-creating and implementing youth-focused climate programmes during the final quarter of 2026.

The initiative seeks innovative and impactful proposals that empower young people to address climate challenges, promote sustainability, and contribute to environmental resilience. Through this collaboration, SCAC aims to work with experienced NGOs to develop transformative programmes that equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to drive positive environmental change within their communities.

About the Call for Collaboration

SCAC is inviting NGOs to submit proposals or expressions of interest for climate-related programmes that will be implemented between October and December 2026. The collaboration is designed to support projects that engage young people in meaningful climate action while fostering innovation, leadership, and community participation.

The call encourages organisations to develop initiatives that not only raise awareness about climate issues but also create practical opportunities for youth to contribute to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Priority Programme Areas

SCAC welcomes proposals aligned with one or more of the following thematic areas:

  • Climate action and environmental stewardship
  • Youth innovation and green solutions
  • Sustainability and circular economy initiatives
  • Climate resilience and adaptation strategies
  • Community-based environmental action
  • Youth leadership in climate policy and advocacy

Projects that demonstrate measurable outcomes, strong youth engagement, and long-term impact will be particularly valuable.

  • Organisations with demonstrated experience in environmental, sustainability, climate, or youth development programmes
  • NGOs with a strong commitment to empowering young people and supporting community-driven change
  • Organisations capable of delivering high-quality programmes within the proposed implementation period

SCAC is particularly interested in collaborating with organisations that can bring innovative approaches, practical solutions, and inclusive participation models to climate-related programming.

Programme Timeline

Selected programmes will be implemented during the fourth quarter of 2026.

Implementation Period: October – December 2026

This timeline provides an opportunity for NGOs and SCAC to jointly deliver impactful initiatives before the end of the year while contributing to broader climate adaptation and sustainability goals.

Shortlisted organisations will be contacted for further discussions regarding programme design, implementation arrangements, and potential collaboration opportunities.

Application Deadline

The application deadline has been extended to:

15 September 2026

Interested NGOs should submit their proposals or expressions of interest before the deadline to be considered for collaboration.
