Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Career Development Fellowship, applicants must:
- Self-identify as being from a Black heritage background, including mixed Black heritage
- Be a UK national, or have completed part of their undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral education in the UK, or currently hold or previously held a postdoctoral position in the UK
- Hold a PhD or expect to have completed one before the fellowship begins
- Have less than 24 months of postdoctoral research experience
- Conduct research within the Royal Society’s remit of natural sciences

- Other natural science fields supported by the Royal Society
