Hivos has announced a vacancy for the position of Partnerships Manager, offering an opportunity for experienced fundraising and partnership professionals to join the international development organisation in the Netherlands.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Hivos’ global funding network by building strategic relationships with philanthropic organisations, family foundations and corporate grant-making foundations. Applications for the position are open until 14 July 2026.
About the Partnerships Manager role
The Partnerships Manager will support the implementation of Hivos’ “Ten Years to Turn the Tide” strategy by helping diversify the organisation’s funding base and securing complementary financial support for its programmes worldwide.
Working within an international context, the successful candidate will identify new funding opportunities, strengthen relationships with philanthropic partners and contribute to long-term resource mobilisation efforts.
Although the role requires a strong understanding of the Dutch philanthropic sector, it also involves engaging with international donors and foundations whose priorities align with Hivos’ mission and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing new funding opportunities with philanthropic organisations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with family foundations and corporate grant-making foundations.
- Identifying prospective international funding partners.
- Supporting the diversification of Hivos’ funding portfolio.
- Securing co-funding to strengthen and expand organisational programmes.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop strategic fundraising initiatives.
- Representing Hivos in engagements with philanthropic stakeholders and partners.
Ideal candidate profile
