Applications are now accepted for the ESD Okayama Award 2026. The Award recognizes outstanding ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) initiatives anywhere in the world. We look forward to receiving your applications!
The ESD Okayama Award has been held since 2015 under the joint sponsorship of the City of Okayama and the ESD Okayama Award Steering Board. The award aims to honor excellent examples of ESD around the world, support the activities of award-winning project organizations, contribute to the spread of ESD activities, and ultimately help to achieve the SDGs.
Award
US $3,000 per project for 1-2 projects.
City of Okayama will invite one representative from each organization implementing an award-winning project to the City. The invitee will attend the award ceremony (Saturday, November 14, 2026), give a presentation of the award-winning project, and interact with local organizations in Okayama area.
Eligibility
- ESD projects that have been implemented for more than 3 years (as of April 2026) by organizations anywhere in the world
