Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is inviting applications for six Market Access Lead positions based in Nairobi, Kenya. The opportunity is part of the Access to Health (ATH) Programme, a two-year initiative implemented in partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim to improve access to quality and affordable medicines for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across all 47 counties in Kenya.

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider established in 1986 through an ecumenical partnership between the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK).
The organization provides affordable health products and technologies, quality assurance services, and health systems strengthening solutions to healthcare facilities throughout Kenya and across Africa. About the Market Access Lead Role
The Market Access Lead will report to the Business Development and Marketing Manager and play a key role in promoting medical products, supporting healthcare providers, and driving patient enrolment within the Boehringer Access to Health Programme.
The successful candidates will combine technical health expertise with customer engagement and strategic marketing to ensure effective product utilization across healthcare facilities nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
The Market Access Lead will support programme implementation through technical marketing and customer engagement activities. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting products under the Access to Health Programme to increase prescriptions and patient enrolment
- Working closely with Field Officers to integrate technical expertise with sales strategies
- Coordinating Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and training programmes for customers and internal teams
- Conducting product demonstrations at healthcare facilities and laboratories
- Collecting and documenting customer feedback to support product improvement and market insights
- Providing technical support and maintaining high standards of product knowledge among healthcare providers
The role requires frequent travel to customer locations across Kenya.
Eligibility Criteria
MEDS is seeking qualified professionals with both health sciences and marketing expertise.
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, or another relevant health science field with marketing experience; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or Business Administration together with a relevant health-related diploma and marketing experience
- Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body
- At least two years of experience as a Sales or Marketing Executive
- A valid driving licence with a minimum of two years of continuous driving experience
- Ownership of a personal vehicle
