One Health Society (OHS) Tanzania, in partnership with the Global Alliance for NTDs Elimination (GANE) Kenya, is inviting applications for Cohort 2 of the Youth NTDs Fellowship. The 12-week hybrid programme is designed to equip young leaders with practical knowledge and leadership skills to advance the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) through a One Health approach.
The fellowship is open to young people aged 18–35 from Tanzania and Kenya, with applications closing on 25 September 2026.
About the Youth NTDs Fellowship
The Youth NTDs Fellowship is a collaborative leadership programme that brings together emerging changemakers committed to improving public health and tackling neglected tropical diseases in their communities.
Delivered over 12 weeks, the hybrid fellowship combines online learning, mentorship, collaborative projects, and practical leadership development. Participants will work alongside expert mentors while developing innovative, community-focused solutions through team-based capstone projects.
The programme is grounded in the One Health approach, recognising the interconnected relationship between human, animal, and environmental health in addressing disease prevention and health system strengthening.

Fellowship Format and Time Commitment

Participants should be prepared to consistently engage in learning sessions, mentorship activities, collaborative discussions, and capstone project development throughout the fellowship period.
Mentorship and Capstone Projects
A core component of the fellowship is its mentorship model. Fellows will receive guidance from experienced professionals working in public health, One Health, and NTD programming.
Working in multidisciplinary teams, participants will also develop capstone projects that address real-world challenges related to neglected tropical diseases, community engagement, or health systems strengthening.
