Action Against Hunger USA is seeking an experienced marketing and communications professional for the position of Senior Brand Marketing Officer, Partnerships and Communications in New York, USA. Action Against Hunger USA manages operations in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia and Haiti, working with communities to address the underlying causes of hunger and strengthen resilience.

Senior Brand Marketing Officer Responsibilities

The Senior Brand Marketing Officer will develop and execute marketing strategies designed to increase brand awareness, generate donor leads and build long-term supporter engagement.

The role includes leading integrated campaigns such as World Food Day and World Humanitarian Day, with a focus on connecting brand awareness with fundraising and audience-growth objectives.

The successful candidate will also lead a website refresh aimed at improving navigation, content quality, organic traffic, engagement and lead generation.

Another important responsibility will be identifying and managing strategic brand partnerships that expand Action Against Hunger’s reach and connect the organization with new audiences.

The officer will translate program impact and technical expertise into compelling stories, campaigns and thought leadership content for donors, media and the public.

Marketing, Analytics and Digital Innovation

The position requires strong analytical and performance-management capabilities. The Senior Officer will establish key performance indicators, manage brand performance dashboards and use data to improve engagement, conversion and fundraising outcomes.

The officer will test messaging, creative assets, channels, landing pages and user journeys to identify opportunities for improved marketing performance.

The role will also monitor digital trends, platform changes and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and identify ways to improve marketing processes and campaign delivery.

The successful candidate may also manage external agencies, consultants, freelancers and interns.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or a related field.
  • At least seven years of marketing experience demonstrating measurable business or brand growth.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience working within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional English proficiency.

An MBA or master’s degree is an advantage. Working knowledge of Spanish or French is also beneficial but not required.

Candidates should demonstrate initiative, ownership and the ability to adapt as organizational priorities evolve. Commitment to Action Against Hunger’s mission and the ability to collaborate respectfully with diverse teams are also required.

The role requires availability for domestic and international travel, including field visits, as well as occasional work outside normal office hours.
