Fellowship Benefits and Financial Support

The support package includes:
- A monthly stipend of EUR 2,100 to cover living expenses in Helsinki during the three-month fellowship.

UNU-WIDER accepts applications twice each year through an online application system.

For applicants applying during the September application round, the fellowship takes place for approximately three months during April to June of the following year.
For applicants applying during the March round, the fellowship takes place approximately from September to November of the same year.
The online application form becomes available approximately one month before each deadline. For the September round, applications open from 1 September, while the March application period begins on 1 March.

The application includes a curriculum vitae, while the applicant’s PhD supervisor must provide a reference letter directly to UNU-WIDER.
