The Associate Partner will report to Peter Fishman, Senior Partner, Teaching Reimagined, and will play a key role in developing partnerships, managing investment processes, and supporting education innovators working to redesign educator roles.

The Teaching Reimagined team focuses on advancing new models for educator talent and strengthening the education ecosystem. The team works with innovators, practitioners, and organisations developing solutions that rethink how educators are recruited, supported, trained, and empowered.
Through venture philanthropy, the team identifies high-impact ideas, provides funding support, and works alongside leaders to help scale sustainable and equitable organisations.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate Partner will take on responsibilities across relationship-building, investment management, and portfolio support.
Building a Pipeline of Education Innovations
The successful candidate will:
- Develop relationships with education innovators, researchers, and practitioners.
- Identify emerging ideas and organisations focused on redesigning educator roles.
- Build a strong and diverse pipeline of potential investment opportunities.
- Stay informed about trends affecting K–12 education systems and workforce development.
Leading Investment and Grant-Making Processes
The role will involve managing a rigorous investment process, including:
- Conducting landscape research to identify promising opportunities.
- Evaluating potential organisations and initiatives.
- Supporting due diligence and selection processes.
- Managing grant-making activities and investment decisions.
- Developing recommendations based on research and analysis.
Supporting Portfolio Organisations
The Associate Partner will also work closely with funded organisations by:
- Coaching venture leaders as they scale their impact.
- Providing strategic guidance to strengthen organisational effectiveness.
- Supporting leaders in building equitable and sustainable organisations.
- Helping portfolio partners overcome challenges and maximise impact.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have significant experience in education leadership and a strong understanding of K–12 systems.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 8 years of experience in K–12 public education.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at the school level preferred.
- Experience working with K–12 talent systems.
- Understanding of educator development, recruitment, retention, and workforce models.
- Ability to analyse complex ideas and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong relationship-building and partnership development skills.
- Experience working with innovative education programmes or organisations.
Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to:
- Think strategically about education challenges and opportunities.
- Translate research and complex concepts into compelling narratives.
- Work collaboratively with entrepreneurs, educators, funders, and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
