UN FAO Young Forest Champions Initiative 2026

Deadline: Ongoing

Are you passionate about forests and climate action? Become a 2026 Young Forest Champion under FAO’s AIM4Forests Programme! The Young Forest Champions Initiative is your opportunity to make a real difference.

Open to youth in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, and Zambia, this initiative aims to empower young leaders to drive transformative forest conservation efforts. Through mentorship opportunities, capacity development, and the use of advanced technologies like remote sensing, participants will gain the skills to restore forests, monitor ecosystems, and protect vital landscapes.

Building on its success in Kenya, the initiative is now expanding, offering young people across other countries the platform to drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond. Ten young leaders per country will be selected to join a dynamic network shaping the future of forests and building climate resilience in their communities and beyond!
