The ROGEAP ASPIRE program is part of ROGEAP’s activities aimed at supporting the development of a regional ecosystem for the sustainable growth of the stand-alone solar systems industry by creating business opportunities and jobs. This ecosystem includes manufacturing, assembly, distribution, installation and maintenance of off-grid solar energy.

About the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP)

ROGEAP is funded by the World Bank, the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), and the Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) of the Government of the Netherlands.

It aims to increase access to sustainable electricity services in the 12 ECOWAS member countries and 7 other sub-Saharan African countries (Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mauritania, Central African Republic, Chad) by building a regional market for off-grid solar products and supporting value chain actors.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under pressure in a hot environment
  • Identification: Copy of an identity document issued by the competent authorities (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
  • Be a national of one of the following countries: Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire
  • Diploma: Professional diploma in renewable energy, electrical engineering or relevant technical diploma (national or international/Bac F3/BEP/Professional Baccalaureate/ BSc / MSc / PhD or student enrolled in a technical or vocational school).

Training schedules will be programmed flexibly to encourage women’s participation.
