Opportunity to Support Peacebuilding Across Africa

Concordis International is a UK-registered charity dedicated to promoting sustainable peace in communities affected by armed conflict. The organisation works alongside governments, civil society organisations, community leaders and armed groups to facilitate dialogue, build trust and identify practical solutions that address the root causes of conflict.

Its current peacebuilding programmes operate in:

  • Central African Republic
  • Cameroon
  • Chad
  • Abyei
  • Sudan
  • South Sudan

Rather than imposing external solutions, Concordis focuses on empowering local communities with the knowledge, relationships and mechanisms needed to manage conflicts peacefully long after projects conclude.

About Concordis International

Concordis envisions a world where every community affected by armed conflict has the resources and capacity to resolve disputes peacefully.

The organisation’s mission includes:

  • Building trusting relationships among parties affected by conflict.
  • Facilitating dialogue between opposing groups.
  • Supporting locally owned solutions to conflict.
  • Promoting economic development alongside peacebuilding.
  • Ensuring inclusive participation from women, youth, governments, civil society and former combatants.
  • Leaving sustainable peace mechanisms that communities can continue independently.

Its work is guided by three core values:

  • Humility by recognising that peacebuilding requires learning from local communities.
  • Impartiality through maintaining a non-partisan approach.
  • Inclusivity by ensuring marginalized voices are represented in peace processes.

These principles underpin Concordis’ commitment to transformational justice, accountability, transparency and respect for diversity.
