Amnesty International Kenya is inviting applications for the position of Youth Delegate to represent the Kenya section at the Regional Forum and Global Assembly 2026, with a two-year commitment through 2027. This leadership role is designed for young people who are ready to influence policy, amplify youth voices, and contribute to global human rights governance.
Duties
As a Youth Delegate, you will:
- Participate in all national preparation meetings leading up to the Regional Forum and Global Assembly.
- Engage in online and in-person leadership workshops run by Amnesty’s Global Children and Youth Team.
- Represent the perspectives and priorities of Kenyan young people in global discussions and decision-making.
- Attend the Regional Forum (2026) and Global Assembly (August 2026).
- Share learnings and strengthen youth participation by bringing back insights to the COC’s
- Mentor the next Youth Delegate in 2027.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 22 years old or below.
- Be a registered member of Amnesty International Kenya.
- Be an active member of an Amnesty Circle of Conscience.
- Be available for all training and preparation sessions from January–July 2026.
- Commit to serving for two years (2026 and 2027).
- Have a strong interest in human rights, leadership, governance, and youth advocacy.
- Be able to communicate clearly, work in teams, and represent diverse youth perspectives.
- Demonstrate values aligned with Amnesty International: courage, integrity, solidarity, accountability, and inclusion.
