NetHope is inviting proposals for a remote Communications Consultant to support its global communications team from September to December 2026. This consultancy offers experienced communications professionals an opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s leading humanitarian technology networks while supporting high-impact digital communications, content creation and the NetHope Global Summit.
The consultant will work closely with the Director of Communications to deliver strategic communications, website management, email marketing, social media campaigns and stakeholder engagement across NetHope’s international humanitarian and conservation community.
About NetHope
NetHope is a global membership organization that enables humanitarian, development and conservation organizations to use digital technologies and data to improve outcomes for people and the planet. The organization brings together more than 60 leading international NGOs and collaborates with over 50 global technology companies to develop innovative solutions for humanitarian response, conservation and international development.
Working across 190 countries, NetHope supports its members through digital transformation, technology partnerships and collaborative innovation that strengthens humanitarian and conservation programming worldwide.
About the Communications Consultant Role
The Communications Consultant will provide comprehensive communications support during NetHope’s busiest external engagement period, including preparation for and delivery of the NetHope Global Summit. The consultancy requires approximately 30 hours per week and is fully remote.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the successful consultant will produce high-quality content, manage digital communication channels and coordinate communication workflows across multiple teams and stakeholders.
The role is particularly suited to professionals with strong experience in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, event communications and content management.
Key Responsibilities
A significant portion of the consultancy will focus on communications for the NetHope Global Summit.
The consultant will update the Summit website through Cvent, manage attendee communications, oversee digital signage and branding, coordinate the Attendee Hub, schedule notifications and publish pre- and post-event email campaigns using Campaign Monitor and Cvent.
Additional responsibilities include planning and publishing Summit social media campaigns, managing event photography galleries, collecting testimonials and speaker quotes, activating sponsor communication benefits and supporting the development of the 2027 Sponsorship Prospectus.
Beyond the Summit, the consultant will manage NetHope’s ongoing communications by maintaining the organization’s WordPress website, publishing newsletters, coordinating social media, managing editorial workflows in Asana, collaborating with designers and web developers, and providing copywriting and editing support across organizational programmes.
