The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is inviting applications for the position of Information Management Officer (Consortium) based in Abuja, Nigeria. This national, full-time opportunity offers experienced information management professionals the chance to contribute to one of the country’s largest humanitarian responses supporting internally displaced people and vulnerable communities.
The initial contract is 6 months, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding availability. The successful candidate will join DRC’s consortium team, supporting data management, beneficiary information systems, reporting, and information quality across humanitarian programmes implemented in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.
About the Danish Refugee Council
Founded in 1956, the Danish Refugee Council is Denmark’s largest international humanitarian NGO and one of the world’s leading organizations specializing in forced displacement. Operating in nearly 30 countries, DRC protects refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and displacement-affected communities through emergency response, protection, livelihoods, resilience, and durable solutions programming.
The organization’s work is guided by the values of humanity, respect, independence, neutrality, participation, honesty, and transparency.
Supporting Nigeria’s Humanitarian Response
Nigeria continues to face one of the world’s most complex humanitarian crises. Prolonged conflict in the Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states, combined with insecurity in the Northwest, climate-related shocks, and widespread poverty, has displaced millions of people and created significant humanitarian needs.
DRC has operated in Nigeria since 2016, with its country office in Abuja and area offices in Maiduguri and Sokoto. The organization delivers multi-sector programmes across protection, economic recovery, humanitarian assistance, and climate resilience while increasingly partnering with local organizations.
